Variation Code: Countershade, also known as Phantom Mode is a Variation Code used in Mighty No. 9. It is obtained by defeating Mighty No. 8, Countershade, as RAY. Beck's equivalent is ReXelection: Countershade.
Appearance
Upon transformation, RAY's buster arm changes to a red striped scope connected to a E-2C Hawkeye dish, resembling Countershade's hat.
Functionality
Holding the button allows RAY to cloak, making her invisible and negating damage from attacks that would have hit her. If RAY dashes and absorbs Xel while cloaked (Assassin Kill), she recovers more weapon energy than usual.
